Lizzie Ochoa is a professional artist who specializes in portraits, murals, illustration, graphic design and wax figures / sculpted portraits. Lizzie received her B.A. in Art with Cum Laude honors from St.Edward's University in Austin, Texas.
In 2000, she was honored to be selected by acclaimed sculptor, Luis Jimenez to participate in the International Portrait Conference in Houston, Texas. Her exhibition of her life-sized wax figures was well received.
Blondie’s Debbie Harry, singer Lila Downs from the film, Frida and Dreamgirls star, Sharon Leal are among those who own an original painting. Director Oliver Stone also owns a print of Ochoa’s painting, Freedom, Justice and Equality which features President John F. Kennedy, Dr. Martin Luther King and President Abraham Lincoln.
In Texas, Lizzie has exhibited at various galleries including the Adair Margo Gallery, the Hal Marcus Gallery, The Sunland Gallery, The Painted Door Gallery, The University of Houston and the Scarborough-Phillips Gallery in Austin, Texas.
Lizzie Ochoa's art is featured in collections around the country including New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Santa Fe, Phoenix, Memphis and El Paso.
